These are the lyrics that have so far meant something to me or had an effect on me or my life. There are a few and yes they are cut and paste simply to save time, however they are just the parts of the song that mean most to me, however it's the song that does it for me as a whole and not just one particular line.
The Hollies Possibly my fav song of all time, amazing.
Eric Clapton for several reasons none more so than the reason he wrote it and the pain he must go through every time he sings it. Brings a lump to my throat . Bob Dylan Amazing song, with loads of little clues here and there to what he's talking about . Bob Dylan Can you guess i like Bob Dylan records? This song is obviously what Bob Dylan is famous for and launched the careers of a good few people off it. This lyric itself is something i used to use in meetings or before demo's in dylan esque manner. It also sums up the type of up bringing i've had and my connection to unionism.
Roy Harper The song is such a lovely and expressive way of describing loss. Such a genlte little song. And the reason why my daughters name is Francesca. A legend in his own right. |

Artist: Queen(my fave) Song: Too much love will kill you Story: When the legend freddie mercury cannot decide on his sexuality and when you read it you will see what he is on about its a great song he was so good such a powerful voice and brian may he was arguably the best guitarist ever lisved IMO! ____________________________________________________________ I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be Too many bitter tears are raining down on me I'm far away from home And I've been facing this alone For much too long I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me About growing up and what a struggle it would be In me tangled state of mind I've been looking back to find Where I went wrong Too much love will kill you If you can't make up your mind Torn between the lover And the love you leave behind You're headed for disaster 'cos you never read the signs Too much love will kill you Every time I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be And it seems like there's no way out of this for me I used to bring you sunshine Now all I ever do is bring you down How would it be if you were standing in my shoes Can't you see that it's impossible to choose No there's no making sense of it Every way I go I'm bound to lose Too much love will kill you Just as sure as none at all It'll drain the power that's in you Make you plead and scream and crawl And the pain will make you crazy You're the victim of your crime Too much love will kill you Every time Too much love will kill you It'll make your life a lie Yes, too much love will kill you And you won't understand why You'd give your life, you'd sell your soul But here it comes again Too much love will kill you In the end... In the end. |

I was going to put some Bob Dylan stuff on as well, but seeing there's plenty already, I'll put down some stuff from someone even more unfashionable than Bob - Joni Mitchell!

why do people cut & paste the whole song lyric ? do they really think that anybody is going to read through five verses ? much better, imo, to pick out the one or two lines that really say something e.g "Saturday night, I feel the air is getting hot. Like you baby" |

The words to this song mean a lot to me - in memory of my husband who died recently You gave me wings and made me fly You touched my hand I could touch the sky I lost my faith, you gave it back to me You said no star was out of reach You stood by me and I stood tall I had your love I had it all I'm grateful for each day you gave me Maybe I don't know that much But I know this much is true I was blessed because I was loved by you Mo x |

She walked in through the out door, out door. Don't know what I want but I know how to get it. With the lights out it's less dangerous. You look so self-possessed, I won't disturb your rest. There's bound to be talk tomorrow, at least there will be plenty implied. You said you'd never compromise with the mystery tramp. But now you realize. He's not selling any alibis As you stare into the vacuum of his eyes and ask him do you want to make a deal? If you're out of luck or out of work. Those fingers in my hair, that sly come hither stare that strips my conscience bare. I could have been someone. Well so could anyone. Offer me solutions offer me alternatives and I decline. |

"... there's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold and she's buying a stairway to heaven when she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed, with a word she can get what she came for...... and she's buying a stairway to heaven there's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure 'cause you know sometimes words have two meanings in a tree by the brook there's a songbird who sings sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven and she's buying a stairway to heaven there's a feeling i get when i look to the west and my spirit is crying for leaving in my thoughts i have seen rings of smoke through the trees and the voices of those who stand looking and she's buying a stairway to heaven and it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune, then the piper will lead us to reason and a new day will dawn for those who stand long and the forests will echo with laughter and she's buying a stairway to heaven and it makes me wonder if there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now it's just a spring-clean for the may-queen yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run... there's still time to change the road you're on... and she's buying a stairway to heaven... all this, followed by some of the best guitar work of its era....c1970 |

The man himself is very strange... not into him... but as you have seen first hand, he can entertain, play many instruments at a very high standard and can write some mind blowing stuff. One of the greatest musicians of all time IMO |

Theres nothing unfashionable about Joni. My favorite it Calafornia. If you like Joni try listening too an artist called Linda Perhacs. One Album recorded and then she disapeared straight sfter. Mysterious but very Joni esque. |

''Tears for the children, who never had the time to commit the sins they pay for, through another's evil crime'' Weller wrote this after watching a TV documentary about children born out of American/Vietnamese relationships during the Vietnam war. Once the war ended, obviously their fathers were up and gone, never to be seen again. It could be for many children though..Dunblane, Soham, Ireland, Iraq, Lebabnon and Israel. The list just goes on. |
